EVALUATIONS 2014
Those officials who wish to be evaluated under the Local Classification System are asked to email the NABO Supervisor (Jamey Jennings) to indicate your intention. The level for which you are eligible can be found under the Local Classification link in the members section.

CABO EXAM - INDIVIDUAL RESULTS
Members who wrote the CABO exam can log back in to the CABO webpage in the same manner as they did to write the exam to see their own results. These are available until the end of December. For those who did not write, please be advised that the exam was CLOSED on December 15th.

NATIONAL EXAM REMINDER
Just a reminder to the NABO membership that the CABO National Exam closes on December 15th. You must be registered with NABO in order to write the exam. Please go to the BECOME A MEMBER link on the left hand side of the homepage and fill in the information.

CABO RITCHIE-NICURITY SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS
Congratulations to Brady Turner and Kieran Roach of SJABO. Both NABO members are recipients of CABO's Ritchie-Nicurity Scholarships valued at $500 each. Way to go Brady and Kieran!!

MEMBERSHIP
NABO members are reminded that they must reapply for membership via the webpage (top left hand corner) to become a member and have access to the members only part of the webpage. All requests for access to the members only site will be dealt with after November 19th.

CABO RITCHIE-NICURITY SCHOLARSHIP
Any NABO member attending university this fall and are interested in applying for the CABO Ritchie-Nicurity Scholarship are asked to obtain the necessary information from the Scholarship link on the CABO website. Applications need to be in to the CABO President, Jim Walsh, by August 31st.

CANADA BASKETBALL U15 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS AUGUST 4-11, 2013
The NLBA are looking for volunteers for the CB U15 Nationals held in St. John's from August 4-11, 2013. Any NABO member that can spare some time to volunteer for these tournaments is asked to contact the NLBA office at 576-0247.

2013 AGM HIGHLIGHTS
Here are some of the highlights from this past weekends AGM held in Gander: Executive - David Wilding elected treasurer; Bill Hurley elected Vice-President Game fees will be paid using the Local Classification System - a form of the old Provincial Model. Members will be grandfathered back to their pre-NOCP ratings. Exception - those in SJABO who received a higher rating under the old system will keep their new classification. Please see the members area under 2013 AGM for the document. NABO in negotiations with the NLBA for a new game fee structure. Members will be expected to submit an availability form for Minor Tournaments to their local branch by a deadline date to be communicated later.

INTERNATIONAL APPOINTMENT
The NABO Executive would like to congratulate Scott Critch on being selected to be the Canadian Official to work the U16 FIBA Americas Men's Tournament in Uruguay in June. Best wishes Scott for a successful tournament!

NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING The 2013 Annual General Meeting of the Newfoundland Association of Basketball Officials will take place on Saturday, June 8th at St. Paul's Intermediate in Gander. The meeting will start at 12:00 pm sharp. Delegates are asked to contact the Comfort Inn, TCH, Gander directly at 1-888-256-3535. Rooms are held in the name of the Association (NABO). For the AGM, NABO will cover the costs of the hotel rooms at the Comfort Inn on Saturday, June 8th . The Association will also cover the costs of 1 car from WNABO, 1 car from CNABO and 2 cars from SJABO maximizing passenger space in all vehicles. Other delegates attending in their own vehicle (those not covered by NABO) will do so at their own expense or the expense of their local Association.
