EVALUATION REQUESTS 2015
Members requesting initial evaluations or upgrades after receiving their CABO exam marks MUST email their request to the Provincial Supervisor by January 15th. No requests will be accepted after this date.

NABO AVAILIABILTY FORMS - PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
Members wishing to apply to officiate at a minor school tournament, club championship, high school provincial or senior adult provincial are asked to fill out the online form located in the members section of the NABO webpage. Only those writing the National exam will be considered for a senior appointment. Deadline - please submit no later than January 10th.

WEBSITE ACCESS- MEMBERS ONLY SECTION
NABO members who registered last season and received a password to the members only section of the website- GOOD NEWS!! You can continue to use your old password, and do not need to make a new request to be a member. If you have forgotten your password, the webmaster has placed a section on the members only area where your password can be reset. Please follow the instructions. New members to NABO have to register on the link on the left of the homepage, and a new password will be issued to you.

CABO EXAM 2014
Please be advised the CABO exam will be written from November 15 to December 14. If you need haven't written the exam in the past, please contact your Interpreter, Gerard Brien,to register. Only those officials writing the CABO exam will be considered for Senior Provincial Tournament assignments.

CONDOLANCES - THE LATE DARCY HART
On behalf of the NABO membership, your Executive extends our deepest condolences to the family of our late brother in officiating, Darcy Hart of Mt. Pearl. Darcy was a member of SJABO. He passed away on Thursday, August 6th after a brief illness. Darcy has been laid to rest in a family plot in Toronto, Ontario. NABO AGM HIGHLIGHTS
Here are the highlights of the NABO AGM held in St. John's June 7th, 2014: 1. In order to be considered to work a senior provincial championship, those applying for said appointments MUST have written the National Exam the previous December (for the tournaments held in 2015, the exam must be written by the CABO deadline in 2014.(BY LAW CLARIFICATION) 2. NABO will seek a legal opinion on the term IN GOOD STANDING within our By-Laws. 3.No change in deductions, fees, etc. 4. CABO clinic to be held in St. John's on the October 3-5 weekend. More particulars to follow to the branches. (RULE CHANGE YEAR) 5. AWARD WINNERS - CONNOLLY ROOKIE OF THE YEAR - SJABO - Zach Matthews, CNABO - Emily Mews, WNABO - Pearce Penton. KING AWARD of RECOGNITION - Scott Critch. 6. USE OF NABO WEBPAGE - If you have a current password, IT WILL NOT BE CHANGED. If you do not register with a local branch by December of the current basketball season, your account will be deleted and a new one will have to be established.

NABO AGM 2014 REPORTS - NOTICE TO DELEGATES
Delegates to the 2014 NABO AGM in St. John's are reminded they are responsible for printing copies of all reports. Reports, other than the financial report, should be available in the members section of the NABO website no later than Sunday, June 1st.

NABO AGM 2014
The 2014 NABO AGM will take place on Saturday,June 7th at the Journey's End in St. John's. The meeting will start at noon sharp. Those attending from CNABO and WNABO are asked to contact Jamey Jennings or David Wilding with your intent to be at the AGM so we may provide the hotel with guest information. NABO will pay costs of the hotel on Saturday. Those staying at a hotel on Friday are at their own or their local Branch expense. NABO will pay gas costs of 1 car from WNABO and CNABO. Additional cars are at the expense of the delegate(s) attending or their local branch. For further information, please contact your local Branch President.

SUMMER CAMPS
CABO has announced it will not be operating its camp this summer. An alternative for NABO members wishing to attend a camp is the Caulfield Camp of Excellence, which runs from July 11-13 just outside of Wolfville, NS. The contact is Roger Caulfield. NABO members wishing to apply are asked to contact your provincial supervisor for details. CABO will provide NABO $500 for campers to attend. As well, individuals from NABO accepted at the Caulfield Camp of Excellence should apply to NABO and your local branch for funding to help offset the costs associated in attending.

EVALUATIONS 2014
Those NABO members who were evaluated this season, please be advised that your evaluator will forward all paperwork and his/ her recommendations to the Provincial Supervisor. All candidates will be informed of their status when all information is received. Also be advised that, if successful, the new rating becomes effective October 1st of the next basketball season.
